Scenic Artist Resume

Paint is my favorite artistic medium, due to its dynamic qualities and ability to layer. I dabbled with scenic painting in high school, learning how to create realistic-looking red bricks by starting with varying shades of pink. In the University of Michigan and Hope Summer Repertory Theatre’s paint shops I learned more techniques from skilled Scenic Charge Artists. I enjoy mixing colors, trying various methods to come up with treatments, and have a fondness for wood grains. Most of all, I love seeing the final product of a completed, beautifully painted set.
